Jazzy Jars (5th Class JEP Project)
This year’s 5th class Junior Entrepreneur Project is ‘Jazzy Jars’. We up cycle used glass jars and turn them into stunning lanterns, desk organisers and vases. The boys in 5th class have been working furiously for the last number of weeks in our workshop/classroom to produce these amazing designs. All of our products are hand painted and decorated by the boys. As per usual, a percentage of our profits will be donated to charity. We really would appreciate your support as the boys have worked very hard to bring this product from an idea to a fully fledged business! For only €5 you will receive your choice of two jars. Any pupil who makes a purchase will be able to come to our classroom and pick their favourites!

Prizegiving Days 1 and 2
Thanks to Ms. Regina Fitzmaurice for organising the Prizegiving Days again this year. They were fabulous.
On Wednesday June 15th we held our Prizegiving Ceremony 2022. We were all delighted to gather for this occasion and acknowledge the many achievements of the pupils all year. Our last prizegiving ceremony was in 2019 so this was a very special occasion. We were also delighted to welcome our guests who attended. It was a great occasion and thankfully the sun shone! A special word of thanks to Lowney Jewellers who were a great help in organizing the medals and engraving the shields. Thanks also to Mr. Harrington and all the staff for their commitment to the many activities that take place in our school all year. This award ceremony or the many many activities that take place could not happen without the dedicated staff of the school.
Thank you also to our past pupils Oliwier Krawczyk who attended on the day and spoke so well to the the boys about his time in Scoil na mBuachaillí and encouraged the boys to work hard and follow their dreams. He also brought along his Tesla Car which we were all delighted to see!
Finally a special thanks to our guests who attended on the day to present their awards –

4th Class School Tour, Projects and Games
Hi! My name is Maarez and I will talk about the 4th class projects. Firstly the teacher made groups of 2 or 3 people per group. We did our projects on Rivers and Seas. Some people did the water cycle, some did hydroelectric power, some did wildlife and others did sea defences. People used different types of materials to make their project like: sand, cardboard, paint and lego. People used wool for clouds. We presented it on the 8th of June. Thank you for reading this.
When we went on our school tour we travelled in a bus all the way to Farran Woods. When we were on the bus we had to sit with a partner. When we got there we had 45 minutes to eat and drink. Once the 45 minutes was up we were split into two groups. Then the instructors showed us how to do the obstacle course. Firstly we went on a training course which is about one metre off the ground. Then we went on the green one. For this one you had to be over 8 years. The green one was very fun and there were many zip lines. Then we went to the orange one. This one was for 9 and over. The orange one was even higher and better. There were more zip lines. The next one was the white one. This one was the highest and was the best one (that we were allowed to do). This one was for ten over. The white one was amazing and was really fun. Sadly that was all we were allowed to do. The next one was the blue course and the red course. The red one went 20 metres off the ground and one zip line was 30 metres long. At two o’clock all the courses closed. Then we had 45 minutes to eat and drink before getting back on the bus home. We arrived home at 3.50 and then our parents took us home. My name is John Mc Carthy and this is our school tour.
